I was very skeptical about bringing my 2015 BMW X3 here for service. I bought this 2015 X3 in February 2024 and discovered in March that the engine could need a $6000 repair. I explained the situation to Steve, and I was upset that I had just bought this vehicle, and the used dealer in Etobicoke turned their back on me. I was now on the hook for $6000 to repair the engine. Budds BMW supposedly confirmed that the timing chain and guilds needed replacing after they charged me $500 for diagnostics. Steve suggested they first check and replace the chain tensioner because it is the item that fails and is the cheapest first option. Long story short, the chain tensioner was the only thing that was the problem, $300. The timing chain guides are notoriously bad on this engine, but Steve assured me there was no need to have the guides changed now. I appreciated his honesty and customer service. I would not hesitate to bring my 2015 BMW X3 back here for service again. Thank you.
